about
We wrote this song one night sitting down at Spanish Banks staring across the ocean. It's about relationships - how they have their ups and downs - and how you just know when someone means a whole lot to you...about how you can't stop feeling that your heart starts beating when they're around. We all have had, or will find, someone who we live for, and this song is about that person.
lyrics
Even when the lights go dim and crawl across the bay
With knowledge of the winter months the hinderance is here,
And here to stay
Waiting for the moments we are dragged into the ocean
I will remember, I will remember January days
Give me a way to run
Give me a way to drive away from here
Give me a way to sail
Give me a way to fly away from here
Measuring the angles of the swells before they break
The distance always seems so far away
The numbers reminiscent of the times we were ok
Living on the rule of give and take
But seeing waves peak and crash down reminds me how you aren't around
And I don't know if I have enough for more January days
Give me a way to run
Give me a way to drive away from here
Give me a way to sail
Give me a way to fly away from here
And I can't stop feeling that my heart starts beating when you are near
So give me one good reason why like changing seasons you disappear
Needless to say, I don't want to stay
Without you dear...
